Juan Goodwin, Chief Operating Officer

Juan Goodwin is a Community Organizer and Author. Goodwin worked five years at the Salvation Army Hough Corps in Cleveland, Ohio as the Youth Coordinator; where he was responsible for the day to-day operations of youth programs, along with facilitating community outreach to the Hough neighborhood. Goodwin’s passion is to work with kids that are overlooked by most and transition them into becoming productive members of society. He is an avid community activist who believes that he may not change the world, but he may spark the brain of the person who will.

Goodwin works diligently at bridging the gap between politicians, music artists, and religious leaders. As an adolescent, he was recognized as a natural leader by the YMCA Greater Cleveland and participated in the Future Leaders of America. Continuing on that path, he excelled as a standout 4-year varsity player/captain with the James Ford Rhodes High School Basketball Team and went on to play for Walsh University; and Cuyahoga Community College.. Due to Goodwin’s continued service he was recipient for the City of Cleveland Third Ward Community Relations, 2013 Outstanding Community Service Award and an honoree in the 2012 & 2013 Who’s who in Black Cleveland ” Magazine.

Goodwin  served on the Advisory Committee Board for Martin Luther King High School is currently the leader of the South Euclid United Church of Christ Social Justice ministry.
